29:1 He that being often reproued, hardeneth his necke, shal suddenly be destroied, and that without remedy. Margin Note He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
29:2 When the righteous are in authoritie, the people reioyce: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourne. Margin Note When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
29:3 Whoso loueth wisedome, reioyceth his father: but hee that keepeth company with harlots, spendeth his substance.   Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.
29:4 The king by iudgement stablisheth the land: but he that receiueth gifts, ouerthroweth it. Margin Note The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.
29:5 A man that flattereth his neighbour, spreadeth a net for his feet.   A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.
29:6 In the transgression of an euill man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and reioyce.   In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.

29:8 Scornefull men bring a citie into a snare: but wise men turne away wrath. Margin Note Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.
29:9 If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether hee rage or laugh, there is no rest.   If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.
29:10 The bloodthirstie hate the vpright: but the iust seeke his soule. Margin Note The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.
29:11 A foole vttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.   A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.
29:12 If a ruler hearken to lies, all his seruants are wicked.   If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.
29:13 The poore and the deceitful man meet together: the Lord lightneth both their eyes. Margin Note The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes.
29:14 The King that faithfully iudgeth the poore, his throne shall be established for euer.   The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.
29:15 The rod and reproofe giue wisedome: but a child left to himselfe bringeth his mother to shame.   The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
29:16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.   When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.

29:19 A seruant will not be corrected by words: for though hee vnderstand, hee will not answere.   A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.
29:20 Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a foole then of him. Margin Note Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
29:21 He that delicately bringeth vp his seruant from a child, shall haue him become his sonne at the length.   He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.
29:22 An angry man stirreth vp strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.   An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
29:23 A mans pride shall bring him lowe: but honour shall vpholde the humble in spirit.   A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.
29:24 Who so is partner with a thiefe, hateth his owne soule: hee heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.   Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.
29:25 The feare of man bringeth a snare: but who so putteth his trust in the Lord, shall be safe. Margin Note The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
29:26 Many seeke the rulers fauour, but euery mans iudgement commeth from the Lord. Margin Note Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment cometh from the LORD.
29:27 An vniust man is an abomination to the iust: and he that is vpright in the way, is abomination to the wicked.   An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.
