11:1 A false ballance is abomination to the Lord: but a iust weight is his delight. A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
11:2 When pride commeth, then commeth shame: but with the lowly is wisedome. When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
11:3 The integritie of the vpright shall guide them: but the peruersenesse of transgressours shall destroy them. The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
11:4 Riches profite not in the day of wrath: but righteousnesse deliuereth from death. Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
11:5 The righteousnesse of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his owne wickednesse. The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
11:6 The righteousnesse of the vpright shall deliuer them: but transgressours shall be taken in their owne naughtinesse. The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.
11:7 When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of vniust men perisheth. When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.
11:8 The righteous is deliuered out of trouble, and the wicked commeth in his stead. The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
11:9 An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the iust be deliuered. An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
11:10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the citie reioyceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting. When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
11:11 By the blessing of the vpright the citie is exalted; but it is ouerthrowen by the mouth of the wicked. By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
11:12 He that is void of wisedome, despiseth his neighbour: but a man of vnderstanding holdeth his peace. He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
11:13 A tale-bearer reuealeth secrets: but hee that is of a faithfull spirit, concealeth the matter. A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
11:14 Where no counsell is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellers there is safetie. Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
11:15 Hee that is suretie for a stranger, shall smart for it: and hee that hateth suretiship, is sure. He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.
11:16 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retaine riches. A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.
11:17 The mercifull man doeth good to his owne soule: but he that is cruell, troubleth his owne flesh. The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.
11:18 The wicked worketh a deceitfull worke: but to him that soweth righteousnesse, shall be a sure reward. The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.
11:19 As righteousnesse tendeth to life: so he that pursueth euill, pursueth it to his owne death. As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.
11:20 They that are of a froward heart, are abomination to the Lord: but such as are vpright in their way, are his delight. They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.
11:21 Though hand ioyne in hand, the wicked shall not be vnpunished: but the seede of the righteous shall be deliuered. Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
11:22 As a iewell of golde in a swines snowt; so is a faire woman which is without discretion. As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
11:23 The desire of the righteous is onely good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath. The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
11:24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more then is meete, but it tendeth to pouertie. There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
11:25 The liberall soule shalbe made fat: and he that watereth, shall be watered also himselfe. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
11:26 Hee that withholdeth corne, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be vpon the head of him that selleth it. He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
11:27 He that diligently seeketh good, procureth fauour: but hee that seeketh mischiefe, it shall come vnto him. He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
11:28 He that trusteth in his riches, shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
11:29 He that troubleth his owne house, shall inherite the winde: and the foole shall be seruant to the wise of heart. He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life: and hee that winneth soules, is wise. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
11:31 Behold, the righteous shalbe recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner. Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
